Mr. Ken Thompson has decided to consolidate his farming operations and has given White Land Company an exclusive listing to sell two tracts of his farmland. The two tracts may be sold separately or together.
The northern most tract, containing 84.5 acres of cropland, is located just outside of the Parkin city limits, south of the railroad tracks on the west side of town. The southern tract, containing 129.4 acres of cropland, is located one mile south of the Parkin city limits and has approximately one quarter mile frontage on highway 75. The two tracts have 169.7 acres of Wheat base with a USDA yield of 43 bushels per acre.
The northern tract is precision leveled and has one 12" well. The static water level is about 50 feet. The well is gear head driven and the gear head goes with the sale.
The southern tract has approximately 60 acres precision leveled on the north side of Shaver Lake and all of the land in this tract is watered from re-lifting out of the lake.
The soils are mostly mixed clay in the Alligator- Earle Association of soils. These soils are ideally suited for the production of rice, soybeans, cotton, and wheat.
The Thompson land is listed at $2000.00 per acre for the cropland acres making this farm an excellent buy at $427,800.00 for 213.9 tillable acres.
